The health technology assessment body, NICE, says while Rezdiffra was shown to be more likely than placebo to resolve metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, uncertainties in Madrigal’s economic model mean the drug’s cost-effectiveness cannot be estimated and it should not be reimbursed.
